Bio
“The hope that was ripped from my mother’s womb, the light that shifted the world, skin of her nightmares and hymns of her tears.” JusMoni hails from the center of Seattle, birthed of two cultures, with her mother being a refugee from Cambodia and her father being a black man in America. She is not only an artist but first and foremost a mother and secondly an educator and cultural worker. JusMoni, known better to some as just Moni, made her big debut in the music world with her release of Ready for Life in 2010. With her son of the cover, in reference to Biggie’s Ready to Die, she made a monumental statement in Seattle’s music culture proving that you can be authentic, make good music and have substance to your art. She believes most in integrity, loving what you do and becoming one with what you receive and what you exude.
